Reiki healing is the use of the universal life force energy. It is an ancient Japanese healing modality that works on the subtle energy field connected to and surrounding the body. A Reiki practitioner is trained to channel the universal life force energy and direct it towards their client, to promote healing and wholeness. This triggers the client’s own natural healing responses and creates a harmonious environment for wellbeing.
Will Sabal of Maui, Hawai’i practices Reiki from the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage. Usui Shiki Ryoho incorporates healing on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. It was founded in Japan by Mikao Usu. Will is a Level Two Reiki Practitioner and provides healing to his clients from Valley Isle Reiki.
As more people turn towards energy healing for support, practitioners like Will have a lot of wisdom to offer. We asked Will to share simple tips for incorporating Reiki practices into everyday life.
HB: How does the spiritual and energetic practice of Reiki interact with everyday life?

Will Sabal, Reiki Practitioner
For myself personally, I feel doing my self Reiki treatments every morning before I start my day keeps me connected to the source. There are many ways to become distracted and out of sync during the day. When I feel myself heading in that direction I easily recite the Reiki Precepts/principals.
As the late Mrs. Hawayo Takata once said, Reiki is very simple, keep it simple. In my opinion, as practitioners add more “stuff” to Reiki the more there is to explain. Don’t try to control it.
HB: Following a Reiki treatment, what lifestyle changes do you recommend to seal in the healing?
Stay Humble…to yourself and others.
3. What habits are important to protect our energetic lifeforce from negative intrusions?
Again very simple. Do your daily self Reiki treatments before going to sleep and before starting your day.
