We are blessed to be part of a global community scattered to all four corners of the earth. This global community is connected by a love for Nature and the desire to see humanity thrive. Our role is to bring you news from all over the world about practices that are helping people to evolve, grow and expand their consciousness.
New Zealand is a place that is close to our hearts. So, we are incredibly lucky to connect with Ngarene Stevens to find out more about the incredible healing work that she does from the North Island. You can contact Ngarene through her Facebook page – SOUND AND VIBRATIONAL HEALING.
1. How does sound and vibrational healing work?
Ngarene: Every living thing has a vibration. Our Earth has a healing vibration of 432hz, which facilitates regeneration after a natural disaster. The human body reacts to trauma by lowering its vibrations, causing the cells to bunch together forming clusters.
These clusters restrict the amount and power of the energy flowing through the Meridian system, hindering recovery.
A Sound Bath is a meditation session where you are enveloped by the vibrations of Bowls, Gongs, Didgeridoos, Bells, and other healing instruments promoting relaxation, clarity, and a good night’s sleep.
With Sound and Vibrational Balancing or Massage, Bowls are placed on or near the body for more intensive work like muscle injury or emotional distress by directly sending the vibrations into affected areas.
When Bowls are struck, the vibrations break up the clusters of cells, the sound gets the Chakras into the right rhythm which facilitates the flow of energy.
Sound and Vibrational Healers have a communication with our instruments, we hear the change in tones or vibrations as they detect internal blockages.
I describe it as a form of ‘inside out’ Healing.
2. What role does that element of water play in the healing that you facilitate for people?
Ngarene: Our bodies are 80% water which carries and holds DNA in its cells as they travel throughout your organs and into your bloodstream.
Full Moon energy is powerful enough to move vast Oceans because the Sea cells are made up of 70% water, carbon, and other non-organic cells making it fluid enough to be magnetically moved.
The water content of the human body feels and reacts to vibrations, ebbing and flowing with the natural tide of external and internal energy.
The blood in your body is like oil in a car, gets the motor running but won’t take you anywhere, energy is the petrol.
Having a healthy energy flow assists with the management of day to day stress in this reality and is carried throughout your body in water cells. We are nothing and have nothing without water.
3. What simple daily habits can you recommend that people incorporate to maintain balance?
Ngarene: The one thing I do every day is to commune with Nature on some level.
If walking, touch the plants as you pass by, really look at the clouds, walk on the Earth and in the water, smell the air, hug a tree.
There will be a subtle change in the way you commune in general but anything that gives you feelings of peace, contentment, or happiness even briefly, will raise your vibrations and give you an energy download.
You can do Sound and Vibrational Healing on yourself by humming, singing, whistling, and giving yourself some applause at the end of it.
Cleansing your space is also vital – regular airflow, smudging, incense, taking special care of the corners in your house.
Energy builds up and sometimes you get a ‘heavy’ feeling. Cleanse the area, asking the old energy to leave through an open window, you will feel the difference.
4. What benefits do you think shamanic journeying can bring on top of physical healing practices?
Ngarene: Sound and Vibrational Healing deals with the effect of trauma or injury, getting the body to operate at optimum capacity to facilitate Healing.
Shamanic work tackles the ‘cause’ of the trauma, gets the splinter out, replaces what has been removed allowing a feeling of ‘wholeness’ to become the new norm.
Since studying Shamanic Practice I’ve noticed it merging into my sound and vibrational modality – clients have seen power animals or visions of the Nature World, I also receive messages to pass on or have a Spiritual Surgeon step in, this brings another dimension to the service I provide.
I journey most days, it keeps the Nature world closer to me, I have learned about the biology and mythology of my Power animal which is Bear.
Bear has the most powerful sense of smell in the animal kingdom. I use this knowledge to have scented plants around me and I find my sense of smell can detect a Spirit which has entered my field.
This is how communication during journey work can become part of your physical world.
5. As we are all self-healing under the right conditions, what might be the first steps for someone on a self-healing journey?
Ngarene: Action. You need to DO something, that’s how you manifest your reality.
There’s a lot of stumbling around when starting a self-healing journey, isn’t just about getting your Chakras lined up or doing the downward dog.
Let Source, God the Universe know you are on a path of self-discovery, it will organise a chance meeting or give you a sign, then you must action it, then you will be lead down the path destined for you.
Shamanic practice teaches you to be in true alignment with yourself, what you really want, who you really are.
Take a holistic approach, a bit of spiritual work, some physical, commune with Nature and if you feel drawn to a modality investigate and learn about it.
You’ll be helping yourself and others – it’s a win-win.
